This Exercise is very similar to the first one except this time we are going faster and staying with the Right, Right, Left, Left pattern.
Due to the speed we are now playing it would be difficult to play each stroke as an individual. So for the second stroke we are going to let the stick bounce.
i.e. Right Bounce, Left Bounce,
Again we’re going to do this exercise at two speeds.
As with Exercise 1 to help you know where you are a Bass Drum will play the first beat of each bar, and all 4 of the 4th bar, and a cymbal will play the first beat of the 4th bar.
Note: this is much harder than it looks and can take a long time to master, please don't get disheartened. Stick at it it’s well worth the effort.
Also a lot of people find the faster version of this a little easier to start with.
